Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of the Sportvio platform (the "Service") by sports clubs ("Club") and their admins, coaches, and members ("Users"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Sportvio provides software for managing court bookings, memberships, payments tracking, tournaments, and rankings for sports clubs. The Club is responsible for the accuracy of the data it enters and for its relationship with its own members.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Each Club is responsible for keeping its login credentials secure and for all activity under its account, including accounts it creates for coaches and members. The Service is intended for use by adults; accounts for children are created and managed by a parent or guardian (e.g. for academy enrollment), not by the child directly. You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority in your country, to create an account as an admin, coach, or adult member.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Club subscription plans are billed as described at the time of signup. Pricing shown on our website is current as of the date shown and may change with notice. Clubs may cancel their Sportvio subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Where a Club has signed a separate written Subscription Agreement with Sportvio, that agreement's billing and cancellation terms take precedence over this section.
3a. Self-serve subscriptions — Standard Subscription Terms & DPA
Most Clubs never sign a paper contract with us — you register online, try Sportvio on a trial, and pay when you're ready, sometimes without ever speaking to anyone at Sportvio. For that reason, checking the Terms of Service box at registration or at checkout is treated as your acceptance not only of these Terms but also of our standard Subscription & Services Terms and our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which set out billing, liability, and how we handle your members' personal data on your behalf under GDPR. Both are available for download and apply automatically to self-serve subscriptions — no separate signature is required unless you request a negotiated contract instead:
4. Club member payments
Sportvio lets a Club record payments collected from its own members (cash, card, or bank transfer) and, where the Club connects its own Stripe account, accept online card payments directly from members for bookings and membership renewals. In both cases, Sportvio is a record-keeping and payment-facilitation tool only: funds from online payments are settled directly to the Club's own Stripe account, Sportvio does not take a cut of member payments, and Sportvio is not a party to and is not responsible for disputes between a Club and its members.
4a. Right of withdrawal (EU/UK consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Two important exceptions apply to purchases made through the Service:
- Court bookings and other date-specific leisure services are exempt from the right of withdrawal where the booking is for a specific date or period of performance (e.g. a court reserved for a specific day and time), as permitted under Article 16(l) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU (and equivalent UK law).
- Digital services you ask to start immediately — such as a Club subscription plan you activate right away — may lose their withdrawal right once fully performed, or once you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge the loss of the withdrawal right, consistent with Article 16(m) of the same Directive.
Where no exception applies, you may withdraw by contacting support@sportvio.io within 14 days of purchase for a full refund of the unused portion.
5. Acceptable use
Users agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to access data belonging to another Club, disrupting the platform, or using it for unlawful purposes. Users also agree not to copy, decompile, or reverse-engineer the Service, build a competing product from it, or resell or sublicense access to it to a third party as their own product — see our Subscription & Services Terms for the full intellectual property terms that apply to paid subscriptions.
6. Data ownership
Clubs own the data they enter into Sportvio and can export it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.
7. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the extent permitted by law, Sportvio is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
8a. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (e.g. natural disasters, widespread internet or power outages, acts of government), for as long as that event continues.
8b. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Greek law. Courts of Crete, Greece have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country that may give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts instead. If you are an EU consumer, you can also submit a complaint through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
9. Cookies
Using the Service relies on a small number of strictly necessary cookies (e.g. to keep you signed in). See our Cookie Policy for details.
