Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Sportvio uses on our website (sportvio.io) and in the app (app.sportvio.io), and why.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Some are essential for a site or app to function; others are used for analytics, preferences, or advertising. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy too.
2. Website (sportvio.io)
- Cookies: none. The website does not set any cookies and does not store anything in your browser's local or session storage.
- Analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies. See section 2c of our Privacy Policy.
3. App (app.sportvio.io)
- Sign-in session (strictly necessary): keeps you signed in to your account as you navigate between pages. Our authentication provider, Supabase, stores it in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
- Preferences (strictly necessary): remember your chosen language (Greek/English) and display settings you choose, such as a collapsed menu, calendar zoom, or chart view. They are kept in your browser's local storage.
- Payment cookies (strictly necessary): set by Stripe on its own checkout page during payment, needed to complete a payment securely.
- Notifications: the app registers a small background script (a service worker) in your browser to receive the notifications you have switched on.
Sportvio does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy and, where required by law, a cookie consent banner will be updated before those cookies are used.
4. Managing cookies
Because Sportvio only uses what is strictly necessary, there is no cookie consent banner. These items don't require opt-in consent under EU law, though you can still block or delete them via your browser settings. Doing so may prevent you from staying signed in or completing payments.
